Blowing off the cobwebs!

It's been a while since I blogged last and so much has changed!

I survived my first year of uni (sort of) and what an adventure that turned out to be! I flunked my second semester due to some rather unworldly life events that all seemed to happen at once... to be quite honest I'm suprised I'm still here really! Thanks to my wonderful friends and family who kept me afloat and in this world during the most stressful time of my entire life so far, without them I think I would have run away into the bush somewhere and become a hermit!

Recently I rediscovered my love of writing! So much so that next year I'm going to be co-writing a book with my beloved family... a wonderful collection of poetry written by my Nanna (Mum's mum), Mum,and my very talented big sister. Turns out we're quite a creative bunch when it comes to stringing words together and each of us has our own unique style of writing! I must admit there is nothing quite like having a date with myself to sprinkle a few words down on paper, even if they don't make sense to start with, they are words and they are mine and that is all that matters in that moment...although I do fear that my two page a day habit will turn me into an anti-social writing machine that only lives during the night! I love writing almost as much as I love painting. (and that is really saying something!) lets just hope that that passion doesn't dry up when I start writing up assignments again next year at uni!

I can't wait for what next year has in store! I know that deep down it will be awesome, and after this year I know that I am far better equipped for what life has to throw at me!
